There is no need to explain about the viral word guessing game called Wordle. You can check more details from Wikipedia. I accidentally stumbled upon the open source flavor of Wordle on GitHub. On a hot sunny Saturday after my Performance Engineers Clubhouse, I decided to create a wordle game for Performance Engineers, DevOps, SREs and more. I named it Perfdle.

What is Perfdle?
Perfdle is a remix of the popular Wordle game. It is created from the fork of an open source version.
It is written in React, TypeScript, and Tailwind.
The target audience of Perfdle is performance testers, performance engineers, DevOps, SREs, Observability enthusiasts, and more.
I bought the perfdle.com domain and hosted it on Vercel.
How to play?
- Launch https://perfdle.com
- The app will display the instructions as shown below
You need to make a five-letter word related to the above topics. Let us start with AUDIO because it has most vowels.
Type using your keyboard or click on the letters on the bottom keyboard. Then, click on the ENTER key.
Now we have got a letter A, which is a valid guess, but it is in the wrong spot. All other letters (U, D, I, and O) are invalid.
Next, let us type, HEART and hit Enter. This time, we got lucky. The letter A is in the right spot, but all other letters are invalid.
Repeat the steps until you get all the letters are in the right spot. I made it here by making some guesses.
After the successful guess, it will display the statistics as shown below.
If you want to challenge yourself with the hard mode, click the cog on the top-right and toggle the Hard Mode.
