123LogAnalyzer

In this blog post, we will see about 123LogAnalyzer tool which helps performance testers to analyze the web server logs. It is one of the fastest web log analysis tool. It can analyze 40,000 lines of code in one second. It allows to analyze specific URL deeply and provides how the users browsed specific page, their sequence, files download etc.

Easy user interface, ability to analyze without extracting ZIP or GZ file. Now we will see how to analyze the server logs using 123LogAnalyser.

Step 1

Download server log file using FTP server or Web server. E.g. ftp.yourwebsitename.com or http://www.yourwebsitename.com/access_log. In this example, I have used my website www.QAJobOpenings.com server logs.

Step 2

Download 123LogAnalyzer

Step 3

Launch 123LogAnalyzer. Below is the snapshot of 123LogAnalyzer.

Step 4

Click on + Add button and open the downloaded log file.

Step 5

Check Use filter to do deeper research in Analyze Option window.

Step 6

Click on Add a New Filter button, select Include and Visitors who accessed specific pages or files and then click on Next.

Step 7

Mention the filter file names and then click on Finish and then click on OK as shown below.Click on Analyze to start analyzing the files.

Step 8

123LogAnalyzer quickly analyze the fie quickly and it gives HTML report as shown below. You can see the activity statistics, Visitor/IP information, Resource Assessed, Referrer Statistics, Search Engine Statistics, Geographical Region, Browsers and Platforms, Technical Information, and Marketing Performance Report.
