Recently, I have installed Windows 10 Technical Preview in my primary laptop at my own risk. Windows 10 works like a charm; though with known bugs. I have started testing testing tools such as HP LoadRunner, HP UFT, and Apache JMeter etc. in Windows 10 – Build 9879.
I have already installed above said software, I was able to install without any issues. The prerequisite is to install latest version of Java.
When I launched JMeter, it picked up the jar files from my UFT installation by loading HP UFT Java Support. Later I tried to record a new script by adding HTTP(S) Test Script Recorder and Thread Group.
I changed the proxy setting in my Internet Explorer and clicked on Start in JMeter. Once I clicked, I got following message.
How to resolve Root CA Certificate message in JMeter – Windows 10?
It is very simple to solve this error. The simplest way is going to your JMETER_DIR\bin\, you can see ApacheJMeterTemporaryRootCA certificate.
Right click on it, and select Install Certificate.
Just follow the onscreen instructions, once it is installed, you will get below message.
Hi i used their above step , i getting “The Import was successful” popup also. after this message i “start” script in jmeter but again i getting root CA certificate pop up, any other way to resolve this issue
Please check for the latest certificate. Even if you get error it will not impact your recording.
still cant able to record in jmeter we are always receiving the error pop up
Can you please try in latest version of JMeter?
I would like to capture gmail with jmeter. so i am trying to record the script. but once i have started jmeter script and open the gmail in browser. i am getting below exception in browser.
gmail.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. The server might not be sending the appropriate intermediate certificates. An additional root certificate may need to be imported. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)
how to solve this issue.
Thanks in advance
You have to add the certificate to Internet Explorer under Trusted Certificates. You can find the Root certificate in bin folder. I will write a detailed post on this soon :)
i have installed in ie also but still it is still showing ca certificate is generated under jmeter/bin folder please help and trying from past 1 month

Hello Navin,
Hope you are doing well…
How we can record script in J-Meter which is secured such as Amazon? Actually, I got the error while recording the mobile app even though I have installed the CA certificate in my Android mobile device.
How Can I get the wizard in linux ubuntu? Right clicking the certificate in bin folder is not showing any install certificate option. without this my recording will not work.
